About the Office

The University Sustainability Office (USO) main mandate is to coordinate DLSU’s sustainability-oriented programs and initiatives.

Under the USO are “hubs”, one for the Manila Campus and another for the Laguna Campus.  The Sustainability Hubs serve as a resource center and a gathering space where individuals and groups combine efforts, collaborate on sustainability challenges, and ensure that programs and projects support the achievement of the Laudato Si and Sustainable Development Goals exemplified in DLSU as a sustainable campus.

Purpose

The University Sustainability Office and the Sustainability Hubs serve as focal points that engages all sectors in the realization of the Laudato Si Goals as well as the localization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Sectors are represented by clusters, composed of a multi-sectoral mix of sustainability champions and thought leaders as a way of breaking silos and ensuring that all aspects are represented:  academics, research, operations, and social engagement.  This strategy forces an inclusive discussion and paves the way for new value formation that is needed in rethinking solutions for a sustainable campus that promotes circularity, nurtures regenerative futures and create sustainable communities
