Ms. July Nery, COSCA Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Specialist and Mr. Dwight Lobhoy, COSCA Project Community Organizer for Lian, Batangas will be conducting an assessment this Sept 2014 of the previous COSCA DRRM Intervention in Lian, Batangas. This will be in partnership with Mr. Albert Bautista, Head of the Lian Municipal DRRM Office. Aside from an evaluation of the previous engagement, the activity will also serve as take off point for the next level of DRRM endeavours to be conducted by COSCA in the municipality.

In addition, the center will continue with the process of drafting a DRRM Training Module for partner LGUs which started in 2011. By October 2014, another DRRM related assessment will be conducted in Bagac, Bataan.

COSCA has expanded the use of the DLSU Relief Fund to include medical and welfare related support. For more details, please go to https://www.dlsu.edu.ph/offices/ovplm/cosca/research/forms-and-guidelines/ then scroll down to Request for Medical and Welfare Assistance.

Again, in preparation for future emergency relief operations and to ensure enough resources for medical and welfare support, COSCA would like to remind donors of the following:

Send your cash/check donations to the DLSU STC Accounting Office. Inform the Cashier to deposit these to the ALAY KAPWA FUND (Acct# 600-225). They will place a note on your Official Receipt that your donation is for the Relief Fund. You are to be given a white and green official receipt as proof of your donation. Please provide the green copy to Ms. Vivian Corilla, LMO Secretary, to acknowledge your donation. For those donating in check, please make it payable to DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY.
