MAGSINO, ELMER R.
Elmer R. Magsino received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2002 and 2006 respectively. Before undertaking the academic career, he served as a design engineer in a power electronics company. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department Gokongwei College of Engineering De La Salle University and has also served as the Program Coordinator for the Computer Engineering program of the same department. His research interests focus on non-linear control systems, rotorcraft unmanned aerial vehicles, disaster risk reduction and vehicular ad hoc networks. He has published and presented several research papers in various conferences and journal proceedings. Currently, research projects leading towards disaster risk reduction using unmanned aerial vehicles are undertaken together with his colleagues and student advisees. He spends his free time with his family in watching movies, going on adventures, travelling to different places and dining out.
