Procedure for Confirmation of Enrollment for International Students
For Incoming Freshmen (AY 2018 – 2019)
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Guidelines for CONFIRMATION and Securing the CLEARANCE FOR CONFIRMATION

- BEFORE or AFTER the Scheduled Confirmation Period (recommended):Please proceed to International Center at St. Joseph Building, Room 207 to submit your requirements and get your *Clearance for Confirmation.
- DURING the Scheduled Confirmation Period:Please proceed to the assigned venue at the Henry Sy Sr. Hall to submit your requirements and get your Clearance for Confirmation.
*Important note: The Clearance for Confirmation will not be issued to students with INCOMPLETE requirements.
De La Salle University (DLSU) considers all non-Filipinos as INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. Before they are admitted to their program/degree, they must have a valid visa for study.
List of valid visa accepted for study at De La Salle University
The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) mandates that foreign students who wish to study in the Philippines should have a valid visa for study (please refer to E.O. 285). BI consistently reminds schools and universities to admit only foreign students who have student visa or permit to study. At De La Salle University, the following visas are accepted for study:
- Student Visa
- Special Study Permit
- Missionary Visa
- Pre-arranged working Visa
- Subic Clark Working Visa
- Special Retirees Resident Visa
- Special Investors Resident Visa
- Diplomatic Visa
- Refugee Visa
- 47 (a)(2)
- EO 226 (as amended by RA-8756)
- Section 13 (a-g)
- Native Born
- MCL
- RA 7919
- Temporary Resident Visa
- Permanent Resident/Immigrant Visa
Visa types which are not on the list will be evaluated by the International Center whether they can be accepted for study.

- For international students who will use a Special Study Permit (SSP) or Student Visa, the International Center will handle the processing at the Bureau of Immigration. The international student needs to submit his/her Student Visa or SSP application documents and requirements (please refer to this link: www.dlsu.edu.ph/students/international/requirements/visa-conversion-process.pdf) during the Confirmation Period before they can get the Clearance for Confirmation. Make sure to accomplish and submit also the Personal Data Sheet for international students. Download here.

- For international students who will use other visa types (not SSP nor Student Visa), submit the following documents in order to get the Clearance for Confirmation:

- Accomplished Personal Data Sheet for International Students

- Photocopy of the following (bring original for verification purposes):
- Latest Visa / Visa stamp on passport;
- Passport Bio-page and stamps of latest departure and arrival in the Philippines;
- ACR I-Card (front and back) / SRRV Card / SIRV Card (whichever is applicable);
- Receipt of Annual Report for the current year
- 1 pc. 2×2 colored picture
- Photocopy of the following (bring original for verification purposes):

- For international students with visa still under process at the Bureau of Immigration, they need to submit a Certificate of Pending Application from the Bureau of Immigration. The following procedures will apply: (Please check this link)

After getting the Clearance for Confirmation, the international student will submit this to the Office of Admissions and Scholarships during the scheduled Confirmation Period.
