Abstract:
-The Computer-Aided Instruction on WLANs provides a more effective way of comprehending the lectures regarding Wireless Local Area Networks through its multimedia capabilities. This instructional material utilized Macromedia Flash and Adobe Photoshop to make illustrations, animations, simulations, and videos of its lectures. It also employed SwiftTalker to enhance quality of its sounds, thereby presenting and explaining these lectures better all throughout the course. Because of this, the students will visualize, understand, and appreciate more the theories, technologies, and applications behind the course which are difficult to comprehend in the books. One of the features of the CAI that can never have by the books is being an interactive environment of the instructional material. Quizzes and exercises are given to the students to test their knowledge to ensure deeper learning of the course. The CAI on WLANs could either be in standalone mode or in web mode. Either way, it will still provide an effective instructional material. These interactive features of the CAI can never be provided by the books. However, the books can refer to it as a supplement material for their content.
