Abstract:
-As more and more systems nowadays use the technology of RFID, it has become increasingly important to know and learn what it is and how it works. The goal of this research is to provide users an accessible way of learning the subject not through the limitations of a textbook, but the use of a Computer-Aided-Instruction (CAI). A CAI will help facilitate a better understanding of the subject through interaction, and the use of animation, sound, and color. This will stimulate the learning of the users and help in keeping the users interested on the subject, as well. A Moodle-Based Interactive Computer-Aided-Instruction for RFID was proposed which would allow the users to access it online. Contents were focused on 5 important topics namely: RFID Basics, Fundamental Operating Principles of RFID System, Physical Principles of RFID System, Data Transfers and Standardization. Four quizzes were given and a range of 60-120 items were provided to help assess learning among the users. Pages were integrations of the Moodle interface, and pages made from Macromedia Flash 8.
