Graduate Application Procedures for Term 2, AY2025-2026
- Master’s and certificate program applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, while doctoral program applicants must have a master’s degree.
- We allow application for those who have earned units from other schools. A maximum of one-third (1/3) of the total number of academic units (excluding thesis/dissertation) required for the degree at DLSU may be accepted as transfer credits.Evaluation of transfer of credits is subject to the approval of the College Associate Dean, upon the recommendation of the Chair/Graduate Coordinator of the academic department. Courses taken from another school should be credited on the first term of studies at DLSU. No other courses taken from another school may be credited subsequent to this unless covered by the issuance of a cross-enrollment permit from the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). Courses counted to earn a separate degree, whether at DLSU or in another school, are not eligible for crediting.
- Application to the preferred degree program is subject to the availability of the program and slot per term.
- The APPLICATION PERIOD for Term 2, AY2025-2026 is from 08 September (Monday) to 11 October 2025 (Saturday).
- All applicants who will be scheduled to take the DLSU Graduate Admission Test (DGAT) are given the option to take the test online or in-person. In-person tests will be conducted at the DLSU Manila Campus only. Applicants who opt to take the test online will be required to attend a mock-test session before the actual test schedule. Details of the mock testing and actual testing will be sent to applicants via email. (NOTE: The Office of Admissions and Scholarships will send messages relevant to application via official email accounts. Phone calls may also be used but as a last resort. The email address the applicant indicated either on his/her Online Application Form or Google Form will be used.)

Applicants to the following programs are EXEMPTED from taking the DGAT:
- MFA in Creative Writing
- PhD programs EXCEPT applicants who apply to any ladderized/straight PhD programs or specific programs including DBA, PhD in Business, PhD in Computer Studies, and Doctor in Information Technology.
NMAT by GMAC. For incoming applications, the NMAT by GMAC will no longer be made an admissions requirement.
ONLY applicants to the following graduate programs who have previously taken the NMAT by GMAC will be exempted from taking the DGAT: DBA, MBA, and Diploma in Management. A scanned copy of the test result will be required for uploading in a designated Google form.
Applicants to the DBA, MBA, and Diploma in Management programs who have previously taken the NMAT by GMAC will still be scheduled to take the Essay Components of the DGAT.
English Proficiency Test Results. English proficiency test results (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, or Oxford ELLT) are required for international applicants, with the exception of those who hold a bachelor’s degree from De La Salle University in Manila.
MInfoSec applicants may provide a university certification stating English was the medium of instruction for their bachelor’s degree as an alternative to TOEFL or IELTS.
Diploma in Management (PGDM) graduates from DLSU who wish to pursue the MBA program are exempt from taking the DGAT. An interview with the Graduate Program Coordinator will be the next step in the application process.

Academic departments are given two weeks to evaluate credentials and contact applicants for interview appointments, which their Office Assistants will do by phone and/or email.
Please take note that not all applicants will be asked to appear for an interview.
- APPLICATION RESULTS will be released in November 2025.
- Applicants will be asked to MONITOR their admission status via email. The email address the applicant indicated either on his/her Online Application Form or Google Form will be used to: (1) send the link where one can download his/her status letter in pdf format at least three working days before the scheduled release date and (2) other notifications involved in application and enrollment.
Results of application for scholarship and financial assistance will be simultaneously posted on the letter of acceptance that will be emailed to successful applicants.
APPLICANTS who PASS and eventually ENROLL will be asked to turn over original copies of the requirements in a long brown envelope during confirmation of enrollment. The link where one may see the Confirmation Dates and Guidelines will be emailed shortly before the release of results. The brown envelope should be properly labelled with the applicant’s complete name (SURNAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE INITIAL) in big upper case letters on the upper left corner on the backside of the envelope. The Office of Admissions and Scholarships (OAS) reserves the right to decline applications that have not met the criteria set by the Office.
