VP for Laguna Campus selected to join USAID fellowship program

Prof. Jonathan Dungca, concurrent Vice President for DLSU Laguna Campus, dean of the School of Innovation and Sustainability, and full professor of the Gokongwei College of Engineering’s Department of Civil Engineering, has been selected  to participate in USAID’s U.S.-Philippines Partnership for Skills, Innovation, and Lifelong Learning (UPSKILL) Higher Education Innovation Leaders Fellowship Program.

The UPSKILL Higher Education Innovation Leaders Fellowship develops emerging leaders from the Commission on Higher Education and higher education institutions (HEIS) as advocates for innovation and impact in higher education.

The UPSKILL Program seeks to strengthen Philippine higher education and address the growing issues of quality, access and relevance of higher education programs.

Designed as a systems-focused approach to achieving results, UPSKILL will provide a time-tested approach to address higher education issues in the Philippines by integrating efforts across three critical workstreams: (1) Policy convergence and sectors governance: (2) Higher education institution capacity strengthening; and (3) Regional alliances.
