Kapihang Signum Fidei is a coffee-shop style lecture and conversation series that hopes to involve the Lasallian community on current and relevant issues in society, religion, culture, education, history, and politics using the lens of faith.
The Latin “Signum Fidei” meaning “The Sign of Faith” refers to the star in the account of the birth of Jesus. It tells of the story of Three Wise Men who followed a bright star in Bethlehem, hoping that it would lead them to God.
It is our desire to lead a friendly and open discussion inspired by a diversity of thought leaders and discussants that takes into account perspectives from all sectors of society, with everything from the mainstream to those that are on the margins.
In previous years, when this gathering was referred to as Seekers’ Hour, we have hosted different personalities affiliated with various advocacies, notable of which is COA Commissioner Heidi Mendoza who exposed the anomalies in the use of military funds. It is through open and comfortable discourse that we seek to bring our community closer and to foster a greater understanding with one another. Come join us for a cup of Kapeng Signum Fidei!
