HEAT Team Members Represent SDRC at PBEd Presidents’ Summit 2014
Last August 15, 2014, the Social Development Research Center was invited to attend the President’s Summit organized by the Philippine Business for Education (PBEd). This forum gathered around 500 heads, directors and presidents of various higher education institutions in the country. The primary aim of the Summit was to help bolster the campaign for colleges and universities in the Philippines to participate in the Higher Education Accountability and Transparency (HEAT) Portal project being implemented by DLSU-SDRC. A significant number of school heads approved of their institutions’ participation in the project. Major organizations such as the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines (CEAP) and the Philippine Association of Colleges and University (PACU) also expressed their willingness to help in informing their member schools about the Portal.
HEAT Portal project research associate Mark Anthony Velasco and research assistant John Alvin Villagen represented the Center during the Summit.
