The findings suggest that conflicts encountered by the family members – be it in the operation of the business concerned or the distribution of wealth – are usually due to the sense of entitlement, a learned behavior which usually provokes a questions of fairness. Resolving such problems allows for greater focus on family efforts in addressing the more pertinent issues of their businesses, which effectively increases their productivity.
