This book endeavors to capture the start of refrigeration and air-conditioning in the Philippines together with the important highlights that led to the growth of the industry. It features different personalities, companies, and events that made a mark in the industry all these years. It also includes two special features: the milestones of ASHRAE Philippines Chapter and the transformations in the Filipino building envelope through the years.
The editor and authors of the book would like to extend their appreciation to all the people who shared their pictures and materials in the creation of the book. If any significant personalities, companies and information are missed, this is unintentional.
It is hoped that this book will serve as a preliminary manuscript on the history of refrigeration and air-conditioning in the Philippines.
