Guidelines on the Offering of New/Revised Programs
This memo is being issued in order to streamline the procedures for the offering of new/revised programs under CHED Memorandum Order No. 59, series of 2007, granting to De La Salle University-Manila an autonomous status.
CHED requirements
The University, through the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), has to submit the following requirements (using letter-sized paper and uniform font type) to the Central Office and the NCR Regional Office of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED):
1.Rationale of the program;
2.Objectives and goals of the program;
3.the curriculum; and
4.the course descriptions
Timetable
All new/revised programs, regardless of whether at the undergraduate or graduate levels, may be introduced only at the start of the academic year.
Only programs meeting the requirements above and the timetable below shall be considered for submission to CHED.
For purposes of these guidelines, “SY00” shall be understood as the current school year; “SY+1” shall be understood as the incoming school year; and “SY-1” as the previous school year.

The academic departments are encouraged to secure early approval of their new/revised programs from the Council of Deans to allow more time for the marketing of the program.
