St. John Baptist de La Salle, Patron of Teachers and Father of Modern Education, was an educational innovator who initiated many new ideas in his time. De La Salle University is committed to continue the Founder’s legacy through innovative programs and research projects. The University’s commitment is reflected in its academic curricula, its approach to social engagement, its research priorities, and its efforts to diffuse knowledge, technology, and innovation for public good.
The 7th DLSU Innovation and Technology (DITECH) Fair takes the theme “Innovation Next: DITECH@Laguna”, and celebrates the innovative and creative capabilities of De La Salle University and its partners. The theme also draws focus to the DLSU Laguna campus, which shall serve as the venue for the DITECH Fair for the first time. The theme further has the following sub-themes:
- Innovation for sustainability under the 17 Sustainability Development Goals
- Innovation for global competitiveness of Philippine business
- Innovation for public good
- Innovation-driven entrepreneurship
- Innovation-conscious policy-making

Call for Exhibit Proposals

We invite researchers, inventors, creators, and innovators to submit proposals to join the DITECH 2019 Exhibits, which will be held on 20-21 November 2019 at the Richard L. Lee Engineering and Technology Block, Laguna Campus, De La Salle University.
Interested applicants are invited to submit an exhibit proposal form, accessible at https://www.dlsu.edu.ph/wp-content/uploads/doc/research/dito/announcements/exhibit-proposal-form-2019.docx, to [email protected]. One exhibit proposal form should be submitted per innovation; however, proponents may submit multiple exhibit proposal forms. Deadline of exhibit proposal form submissions is extended to 7 October 2019.
The DITECH Fair 2019 Organizing Team evaluates proposals based on the relevance of the innovation to the theme.
The DITECH Fair Organizing Committee will inform exhibit proponents of the status of their applications. Successful applicants will receive exhibitor guidelines from the Organizing Committee.
A Best Exhibit award will be given to exhibit proponents whose projects best meet the selection criteria, which are (1) Innovation (novelty, or contribution to knowledge), (2) Adherence to Theme, and (3) Exhibit Rendering (creativity in exhibit layout and appearance). A People’s Choice award is awarded to exhibit proponents whose projects are voted most popular by DITECH Fair 2019 participants.
Interested applicants are reminded of the following important dates:
7 October 2019 – extended deadline of exhibit proposal submissions
11 October 2019 – notification of acceptance
Late October of Early November – exhibitors orientation
19 November 2019 – ingress of exhibitors at Laguna Campus
20–21 November 2019 – 7TH DLSU INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY FAIR EXHIBITS
21 November 2018 (5:30pm – 10:00pm) – egress
