Carmelita Ignacio Quebengco: A Life in Words and Pictures

DLSU Publishing House announces the release of its new book, Carmelita Ignacio Quebengco: A Life in Words and Pictures, edited by David Jonathan Y. Bayot, Riddick Matthew P. Recoter, and David Joseph R. Dyogi.

Launched last December 16 at the Henry Sy, Sr. Hall, the book publication pays tribute to Carmelita Ignacio Quebengco AFSC. Dr Quebengco,  University Fellow and Chancellor Emeritus of De La Salle University. She is the first layperson and woman president of the University. She is also the first layperson appointed by the Superior General of the La Salle Brothers to be Co-Secretary of the Lasallian Mission Secretariat at the Christian Brothers’ Institute in Rome Italy.

Through a rare and extensive interview with Quebengco, a collection of photographs that tells a story of courage and vision, and a gathering of her speeches, this volume in the DLSU Leadership book series allows the readers a glimpse of the prominent facets of her inspiring life-journey, as it opens up a space for readers to share personally in the life and journey of a significant Filipino educator.
