Assistant or Associate Professor in Communication Arts / Creative Media Practice
The Department of Communication, De La Salle University, invites applications for an assistant or associate professorship in Communication Arts / Creative Media Practice. The position is available from August 2020.
Applicants must hold a PhD in communication, media studies, or allied fields with communication and/or media as an area of research. They should possess professional experience and, preferably, teaching experience in film production, TV production, photography, graphic design, or multimedia journalism. We especially encourage candidates whose research and/or creative works are theoretically, socially, or critically motivated.
Teaching duties will include introductory undergraduate courses in the BA in Communication Arts as well as graduate classes in the MA Communication, major in Applied Media Studies program, supervising students at both levels.
In addition to research and teaching, the assistant or associate professor will be expected to take active participation in dissemination and outreach activities, committee work and some general administrative tasks within the department.
