School Counselor

Job Description/Summary:

1. Provides evidence-based counseling services and follows case documentation protocols.
2. Assesses students’ mental health needs andcategorizes them for appropriate interventionsbased on the Tiering system.
3. Collaborates with other stakeholders foreffective service delivery.
4. Implements mental healthemergency protocols and supports at-risk students.
5. Conducts research and develops learningsessions, workshops, and relevant trainings.
6. The counselor is expected to carry out dutiesand responsibilities that are germane to theprograms of the unit/office.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Registered Guidance Counselor or Registered Psychologist
2. Must have an active track record of professional development initiatives
3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
4. Should possess a good moral character
