LEONG, ROBERT NEIL F.
I hold a degree in MS Statistics from De La Salle University, and am currently affiliated with the Mathematics Department of the same institution. I am working with several colleagues on building and developing spatio-temporal surveillance systems with a focus on infectious diseases. Also, I am involved in several researches on image pattern recognition. I am also a part of the Center for Complexity and Emerging Technologies (ComET) research laboratory. My recent works include surveillance of daily measles count data inspired both by control charts and integer-valued autoregressive models. I have also done work in the analysis of complex survey data, particularly determining the distribution and determinants of birth weight of babies and breastfeeding behavior of mothers in the Philippines. I have started work in exploring the applicability of surveillance algorithms in agriculture, wherein initial research along with several colleagues was done in the improvement of the cacao industry. I am likewise actively seeking a PhD program to attend to, particularly interested in the area of spatio-temporal statistical surveillance schemes.
