What is the maximum size of sample that can accommodated ?
Ans. The maximum size is 20mm diameter X 15mm height
Can you accommodate liquid samples ?
Ans. NO. We cannot because of the vacuum nature of the SEM chamber, only solid samples. However, the non-
volatile residue of the liquid ( dried ) can be analyzed.
Do you provide analysis report ?
Ans. Yes, we do at an additional fee.
What is the average turn-around time (TAT) for SEM-EDS ?
Ans. The turn-around is 3days +, depending on the number of samples and the volume of job order in the laboratory.
Do you offer rush analysis?
Ans. YES BUT DEPENDING on the number of samples and client line up. We charge twice the publish rate per
image for rush samples.
Can we submit live specimen?
Ans. NO. You cannot submit a live specimen; it has to be inanimate. The sample may need to be sputter coated
(Pt or AuPd) in order to obtain an acceptable image.
Do you accept purchase order (PO) and terms of payment?
Ans. NO we do not accept PO, payment terms and other modes as of this time. we only accept through cash /
cheque deposit at the moment.
Do you accommodate and test samples on weekends and holidays ?
Ans. NO, we do not accept samples during weekends or holidays. Operating days is Mon to Fri ( 8am to 5pm).
Do you accommodate visitors in the IEM lab ?
Ans. Due to the current pandemic situation, lab visits are restricted. However, if you wish to see the imaging live, a
charge of 500Php/ hour is added analysis fee.
