1. What is BAMCREFoundation?

It stands for: Brother Andelino Manuel F. Castillo FSC Religious Education Foundation Inc. This foundation manages the operation and programs of the DLSU Catechetical Center through the program director.

2. What are the basic activities and programs of the DLSU Catechetical Center?

The center has its internal and external programs. The internal programs involve the in-house formation programs for the full-time catechists. The in-house formation programs include programs for skills development, content updating (theology), creative instructional outputs and spirituality. The external programs include the Catechetical services through instruction and formation that the center provides to children and adults through the full-time catechists.

3. Where does the foundation derive its funds for operation?

Its source of funding includes generous donations from private individuals and institutions who are interested in advancing the cause of evangelization. The activities of the catechetical center are sustained primarily from these donations.

4. Is there any fixed amount required for a person/ institution to donate?

There is no fixed amount for an individual, corporation or institution to donate. It entirely depends on the individual’s generous intention. However, considering the corresponding expenses involved in the day-to-day operations of the center, regular and significant monetary donations are highly encouraged.

5. Where and how can an individual or institution give its donation?

Any interested individual or institutions can send their donations in check or cash to the Cashier’s window of the Accounting office of DLSU Manila and tell the cashier that you are making a donation to BAMCREF. An official receipt will be issued to you. If the individual prefer to make a check donation, be sure to have the check payable to “BAMCREFoundation”. If the donor cannot deliver the check personally, the office staff will pick it up for you. An official receipt will be issued to you as soon as the check is received by the DLSU accounting office personnel.

6. Where will your donations go?

Your donations will be used to realize the catechetical center’s mission of evangelizing people through catechetical instructions of adults and children in the public schools. The catechetical center is currently serving 16 public schools in Manila and Paranaque. Specifically, the donations will be applied to the catechetical center’s daily expenses which include among others: The personnel’s wages and salaries, monthly transportation allowances, office supplies, Catechist’s retreat & recollections, etc.
