Summary Report of Past Accomplishments

AY 2017-2018

  1. Monthly recollections with various themes were held on Saturdays from 1:00- 3:00 PM.

Term 2 of 2018, the following themes were:

January – Restart, Rebuild, Renew my Relationship with God

February – The True Essence of Loving: Responsibility & Self-giving

March – Prayer and Forgiveness

April – Zen and Meditation: Practicing Mindfulness

  1. Weekly Friday Mass at BGC Campus started

  2. Weekly Spiritual Accompaniment also started with Sr. Rosarie Ollano, SdP

  3. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is being held right after the noon Mass at BGC Campus and the main campus after the 12:10 PM Saturday Mass at the Pearl of the Great Price Chapel (PGP).

AY 2018-2019

  1. The gathering of students for Prayer Group Meetings was established this academic year on the main campus. This is being held twice a month at the Center for Lasallian Formation (CLF).

  2. Retreats were held outside the campus, and half-day recollections were held at the Center for Lasallian Formation (CLF).

  3. The Sacrament of Confession is being held right after the 12:00 noon Mass at BGC Campus and at the main campus after the 12:10 PM Saturday Mass at the Pearl of the Great Price Chapel (PGP).

AY 2019-2020

  1. The number of students attending the retreats and recollections increased in number with the assistance and promotion of the college officers and department representatives.

  2. The number of students and staff attending the weekly Friday Mass at BGC Campus increased in number.

  3. Students from the College of Law started serving for the weekly Friday Masses as lectors and commentators. Musicians and choir members also started volunteering for the Mass.

  4. The yearly one-day recollection from 1st to 5th-year students of the College of Law was held at the Center for Lasallian Formation (CLF).

AY 2020-2021

  1. Online programs/services are established to accompany the student spiritually, especially in the pandemic continuously. The following programs are currently running via Zoom: Online Mass, Online Spiritual Direction, Online Recollection/Retreat, Online Kumustahan, and Prayer Meetings, Online Mentoring.

  2. Online Programs are offered by the Cenacle Sisters, On The Third Day, and Center for Ignatian Spirituality.

  3. Bi-monthly prayer meetings for College of Law students started this academic year.

  4. Two students from the College of Law were awarded the prestigious Gawad Lasalyano – Service Merit, namely, Lyca Yñiquez and Celina Bianca De Chavez, for their service as lectors and commentators for BGC weekly Friday Masses.

Coordinator in-charge Profile

Ms. Gracita S. Perez earned her MA in Religious Studies Major in Catechetics at Don Bosco School of Theology in Parañaque City (2011). She is the inspirational book author for law students and young lawyers  –  Faith, Joy, and Justice published by Rex Bookstore (March 2021). Her skills in module writing and in facilitating recollections and retreats contribute to the spiritual development of the Graduate Students of the university.

As of AY 2020-2021, Ms. Gracita Perez has been designated as the Graduate Student Formation Coordinator. While she has other related tasks, this must not interfere with her main task of ensuring efficient spiritual services for graduate students.

With the gradual finalization of the Graduate Student Lasallian Formation Course, LSPO is determined to hire a full-time ASF that shall oversee the course.
