Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant and/or Master’s degree relevant to job functions
- At least one year participation in a reputable professional organization or technical expertise/competence as evidenced by certified work-related output.
- Minimum of sixty (60) hours equivalent relevant training, seminar or workshop attended
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Willingness to work with a flexible schedule
- Ability to analyse processes as well as financial data.
Job Description/Summary
- Supervises or conducts reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities;
- Plans the scope and procedures of the audit and prepares the financial and operational audit program;
- Review the assessment of internal controls through the use of Internal Control Questionnaires;
- Oversees the conduct of audit by organizational units;
- Reviews formal written report expressing opinions and on irregularities encountered;
- Directs and supervises or conducts surprise or periodic audit of accounting system and processes;
- Monitors the work of the Junior Auditors for sufficiency of scope and accuracy.
- Monitors compliance of units/departments on the recommendations of RMCA and/or regulators.
- Prepares ad hoc audit reports pertaining to fund reconciliation review and as requested by Top Management;
- Conduct ad hoc and confidential investigations at the request of senior management of the University;
- Designs and implements a consultation process to guide decisions on audit related matters;
- Coordinate with subcontracted internal audit services, if any;
- Performs other tasks which are necessary in carrying out the plans and objectives of the office.
