Overview
The Science & Technology Conference will provide an opportunity for researchers, educators, and students to discuss and exchange ideas on issues, trends, and developments in Science and Technology. Research abstracts of no more than 350 words must clearly state the problem, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusion of the study. Accepted abstracts will be presented during the parallel sessions of the conference and papers will be published in the conference compendium.
The important dates are as follows:
- Deadline of submission of abstracts: November 12, 2011 (Saturday)
- Notification of acceptance: December 5, 2011 (Monday)
- Submission of paper for inclusion in the conference compendium: January 16, 2012 (Monday)
- Research @ DLSU Congress 2012: February 15 & 16, 2012
There will be cash awards for outstanding paper presentations during the Science & Technology Conference. Details will be provided in succeeding communications.
We also invite our undergraduate and graduate students to share their research-in-progress during the poster presentation session of the Research @ DLSU Congress 2012.

List of Accepted Abstracts
We are pleased to announce the abstract submissions that had been accepted for presentation in the Research @ DLSU 2012: Science & Technology Conference. By virtue of the affinity of the disciplines and taking into consideration the number of submissions, the S & T Conference Screening Committee has grouped together the submissions from College of Computer Studies, Gokongwei College of Engineering, and College of Science and called this group as Cluster A, where five (5) outstanding papers will be selected. Cluster B will be composed of submissions from College of Liberal Arts, RVR-College of Business, School of Economics, and College of Education. Two (2) outstanding papers will be selected from Cluster B.
The criteria for selecting the winners of the Outstanding Paper Award is as follows:
- Relevance of the Problem
- Appropriateness of Methodology
- Thoroughness of Analysis of Data and Discussion
- Impact of Research Findings and Recommendations
- Potential for Publication
