The 68th PIChE National Convention brings together industry practitioners, faculty members, government representatives, students and other stakeholders in an interactive forum in Chemical Engineering with the theme,”Academe & Industry: Synegizing for Global Cooperation & Competitiveness”
The emphasis of papers will be on best practices, global trends, international cooperation and building communities of practice. The following areas shall be the focus of the papers:
- Manufacturing and Sales
- Energy and Environmental Sustainability
- Quality Management and Entrepreneurship
- International Linkages and Partnerships
- Innovative and Outcomes Based Education
- Research on Emerging Technologies
Submissions:
One page abstracts (approximately 300 words) will be accepted until September 30, 2006. Invitations for submission of full papers or for poster presentation will be sent to authors whose abstracts are accepted. Accepted papers and posters will be reviewed prior to final acceptance for inclusion in the proceedings, which will be available electronically. Deadline for submission of full papers and posters is on November 30, 2006. At least one author of an accepted paper must register for the Symposium and Workshop.

Each abstract must be accompanied by the following information:
- Title of Paper
- Name(s) of Author(s) and their titles and affiliations
- Mailing address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address of corresponding author
- Abstract (approximately 300 words)
