About DITECH

About DITECH Fair

Started in 2012, the DLSU Innovation and Technology (DITECH) Fair is an annual event hosted by the DLSU Innovation and Technology Office (DITO) in partnership with the DLSU Intellectual Property Office (DIPO) to showcase and bring recognition to the best innovative solutions developed by De La Salle University. This is to encourage further development and nation-wide implementation through commercialization, protection of intellectual property rights, and collaboration with the government, industry and other research entities. Moreover, it is to inspire and cultivate the nature of research in the university to be led towards nation building and driven by the core values of St. John Baptist De La Salle.

Together with the exhibit, the event consists of plenary sessions associated to the specified theme for each year conducted by well-renowned speakers, a series of paper presentations on the selected works of innovation and creativity, and a student business pitch competition.

5th DITECH Fair 2017

5th DITECH Fair 2017

De La Salle University’s journey toward the fulfillment of its mission-vision as a “leading learner-centered and research university” that is attuned to global sustainability, prompts its campaign to be the leading advocate and excellent provider of intellectual property (IP), knowledge and technology transfer services in Southeast Asia. But this overarching goal cannot be achieved without the concerted effort of several sectors of society, which includes the industry, government and various organizational stakeholders of the university. De La Salle University therefore celebrates, as it further encourages, the linkages it has established with local government units and the industry as it endeavors to promote intellectual property, the oil of the 21st century.

The 5th DLSU Innovation and Technology (DITECH) Fair 2017, happening on November 28 & 29, 2017 therefore, takes the theme “Academe Created Technologies with Industry for Sustainability” with the following sub-themes:

    1. Role of the academe in raising consciousness of current technologies needed by industries;
    2. Role of the industry in proactively collaborating with the academe as part of their social responsibility and their future sustainability and growth;
