Melchizedek Alipio received his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2018. He  is currently an associate professor of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering since 2019. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Systems Testing Intelligent Laboratory of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague from 2023 to 2024. He received the best paper awards from the 2017 IEEE Global Conference in Consumer Electronics (GCCE2017), 2022 37th International Technical Conference on Circuits/Systems, Computers, and Communications (ITC-CSCC), and 2023 IEEE World AI IoT Congress (AIIoT) Best Paper Award – Computer Vision and Speech Understanding Category.
