Engr. Sergi Garbanzos is a lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, De La Salle University – Manila, and a research assistant in the Rainfall and Stormwater Runoff Management Technology for Tropical Climate (RainS-TECH) project. His research interests include nature-based solutions, low impact development, and climate change. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2017 and his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (as an ERDT Scholar) in 2022, both at De La Salle University – Manila. He also had industry experience in a consultancy firm as a design engineer in sewage systems. Currently, he is actively researching hydrologic issues relating to diffuse pollution, sediment build-up, precipitation patterns, and the design of nature-based solutions for future applications in the Philippines.
