Dr. Bernardo A. Lejano is a Professor in the Structural Engineering Division of the Department of Civil Engineering, De La Salle University. He obtained his BSCE degree from University of Mindanao, Davao City, MSCE degree from University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City and Doctor of Engineering from Nihon University, Japan. His research interests include concrete technology, alternative construction materials, retrofitting of structures and structural members, cold form steel. and structural engineering in general. He served before as Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering and Vice Dean of GCOE of De La Salle University. He was formerly the Director of IRTC and Dean of the COE of the Technological University of the Philippines. He is a fellow of the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines. Inc. (ASEP), individual member of International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), life member of Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE), and member of Institution of Specialist Structural Engineers Of The Philippines, Inc. (ISSEP).
