Dr. Rhoda B. Leron is a professor of Chemical Engineering at De La Salle University. She holds a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University and earned her B.S. Chemical Engineering, M.S. Environmental Engineering, and M.S. Materials Science and Engineering degrees from Mapua University. She conducted postdoctoral studies at Chung Yuan Christian University on the application of novel amine solvents and deep eutectic solvents in CO2 absorption. Her current research focuses on the use of deep eutectic solvents in the development of membrane materials for various applications such as CO2 capture and nanofiltration. Dr. Leron was recently elected as member of the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers College of Fellows. She is a recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Young Scientist (in the field of Chemical Engineering) Award and 2024 The Outstanding Mapuan Award. She published more than 50 SCI and Scopus-indexed papers and has an h-index of 22.
