JOHN PAUL S. DOMINGO, MSc

John Paul S. Domingo is an assistant professorial lecturer in the Department of Biology at the De La Salle University. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of the East Manila in 2016. He steered his thesis group chosen to represent UE Manila in the 5th UBELT Student Research Forum back in March 2016. A month after, he represented his group in the 51st Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines (BIOTA) Annual National Convention & Scientific Sessions, where they won the best thesis poster presentation amongst 52 participants throughout the country. He received his Master of Science in Biology degree at De La Salle University as a Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute Accelerated Science and Technology Human Resource Development Program-National Science Consortium (DOST-SEI ASTHRDP-NSC) scholar. After completing his graduate thesis, he presented his research in the 38th Symposium and Annual Meeting of the Association of Systematic Biologists of the Philippines, where he won the best research presentation (young systematic biologists’ forum (session b)). He was involved in a biodiversity assessment project in Palawan province in 2019. His research interests include biodiversity, conservation, taxonomy, and phylogenetics.
