MICHAEL ARNANTE, MSc

Mr. Michael Ernesto Arnante is currently an Academic Service Faculty (ASF) for the Imaging and Cell Culture Laboratory (iCELL) of the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) in DLSU – Laguna. Prior to this, he has worked as a technical assistant for the Molecular Cytogenetics Laboratory of the Research and Biotechnology Division of St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City and an instructor for Basic Science Research at the St. Luke’s College of Medicine. He has worked on several service and research projects mostly in the field of cytogenetics and molecular genetics, focusing on cell culture, chromosomal analysis, fluorescence microscopy, molecular techniques, cytotoxicity and genotoxicity testing. He finished his Masters Degree in Biology in UP Diliman, and he is currently taking his PhD in Biology at DLSU – Manila under the scholarship program of the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute Accelerated Science & Technology Human Resource Development Program – National Science Consortium (DOST-SEI ASTHRDP-NSC). He is currently working on his dissertation involving gene editing using CRISPR and colorectal cancer.
