JAYSON M. ANTONIO, LT, PhD

Jayson M. Antonio is a faculty of the Department of Biology at the De La Salle University. Dr. Jayson earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology for Teachers from the Philippine Normal University. He completed his Master of Science in Biology (MSci) from DLSU. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Science at Yonsei University, Wonju College of Medicine. Dr. Jayson has a solid foundation in Microbiology and Molecular Science Research, with a focus on metabolism, cancer, and microbiological research. During his MSc, he studied antimicrobial and cytotoxic potential of bacterial isolates from coral and algae. In his Ph.D., he worked on redox biology and immunology of colon cancer. During his PhD, he was awarded The Best Young Scientist Award 2021 by the Korean Society of Toxicogenomics and Toxicoproteomics
