LUMIQUED, ARSENIO A. JR. MSC

Fr Arsenio “Arsie” A Lumiqued Jr MSC, Ph.D., R.G.C. is a Missionary of the Sacred Heart (MSC), a registered guidance counselor (R.G.C.), and a board member of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA), the accredited integrated professional organization for guidance & counseling.

He went for a Cognitive Behavior Therapy training at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, USA, under Dr. Judith Beck and Dr. Aaron Beck.  At the same time, he also attended the 2019 American Counseling Association’s Conference & Expo in New Orleans, LA. He took RISE UP, a Clinical & Counseling Supervision Training from Dr. Armstrong of the Australian Counseling Association.  At present, Fr Arsie is a senior faculty member, a marital & family counselor, and a counseling supervisor at the RMT-Center for Family Ministries (RMT-CeFaM, Loyola School of Theology), Ateneo de Manila University. He also teaches at the following schools: Maryhill School of Theology, New Manila, QC; De La Salle University, Taft; Miriam College Graduate School, QC; and the East Asian Pastoral Institute, AdMU, where he is a spiritual accompany-er and counselor.

He finished with his academic requirements for a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at De La Salle University; post-graduate studies on Human Potentials Development at the University of the Philippines; a Ph.D. in Educational Management from Angeles University; a Professional Diploma in Family Ministries from RMT-Center for Family Ministries; B.A. & M.A. in Sacred Theology from the Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University; and AB Philosophy at the University of San Carlos.
