Dr. Fides del Castillo

Educational Background
Dr. Fides del Castillo is a Full Professor at De La Salle University. She was a Lamin Sanneh Research Grant Awardee of the OMSC, Princeton Theological Seminary, USA (2022-2024), and was a visiting scholar at Fuller Theological Seminary, USA (2021), and KU Leuven, Belgium (2022). Dr. del Castillo is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association for Mission Studies, where she serves as the Regional Representative in Asia (2022-2026) and a consultant of the CBCP- Basic Ecclesial Communities Commission. Dr. del Castillo developed the Laylayan Theology (2022) which theologizes a Filipino cultural concept that has been appropriated that privileges and brings to the fore the voices of the people from the margins.
