Sr. Auria U. Arabit, SdP, PhD is a perpetually professed member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Poor of Saint Catherine of Siena (SdP). She pursued psycho-spiritual formation and studies in consecrated life in Rome, Italy, from 1996 to 2000, where she also experienced the richness of international community life. She earned a Master’s degree in Religious Education from De La Salle University, Manila, and a Doctorate in Systematic Theology from Loyola School of Theology at Ateneo de Manila University.
Sr. Arabit has taught at the tertiary and graduate levels in institutions such as the University of Santo Tomas–Angelicum, Loyola School of Theology, and currently in the Department of Theology and Religious Education at De La Salle University, Manila. She served as Coordinator of Catechetical Ministry and Youth Animator in the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao from 2002 to 2009, and as Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Theology and Religious Education from 2019 to 2023.
She has been actively involved in missionary work, particularly in Cagayan Valley, and continues to serve marginalized communities, including underprivileged children at Gloria Christi Regis Center in Tagum City. She also provides faith formation to residents of a drug rehabilitation center and engages in night apostolates for the homeless.
Currently, she serves as Superior of Savina’s Dorm and Center of Spirituality in Quezon City and as Vocation Animator for her congregation.
Her research interests include Religious Education, Spirituality, Charism, Popular Devotion, Christology, and Interreligious Dialogue.
