Susan Reyes Kurdli is an Assistant Professor at the Political Science and Development Studies Department at De La Salle University (DLSU), Manila. She graduated with a PhD in Political Science from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Her research interests include comparative political economy, industrial policy, and gender and labor issues. The regions she focuses on are the Middle East and North Africa, and Southeast Asia. She is the recipient of awards and scholarships from several institutions including the U.S. State Department, Qatar University, NTU Singapore and Ministry of Global Affairs, Canada. Prior to pursuing her postgraduate studies, Dr. Kurdli provided consultation to several governments and companies on trade policy and business development. Her work has appeared in Al Jazeera English and Asia Pacific Business Review. She has also spoken at a number of international fora including National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore and University of Cambridge, U.K.
