Samantha Ching is an Assistant Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Development Studies of De La Salle University – Manila. Her research interests include public policy and administration, global affairs, and other development issues. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in International Studies major in European Studies, with distinction, from De La Salle University. She also earned an MA in Development Policy from the same university.
Prior to teaching, Samantha has worked with private firms specializing in government consultancy where she provided strategic research and intelligence on complex regulatory and legislative issues to high-level clients doing business in the Philippines. She also served as Public Affairs Manager for a public relations firm where she spearheaded the cross-country implementation of various communications campaigns that are anchored on current affairs and political and economic issues.
