Dr. Batalla is Full Professor of Political Science and Development Studies. He teaches political economy, public policy, comparative politics, and economic development at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His research interests include Philippine corruption, public policy, comparative politics and development history. Dr. Batalla is co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of the Contemporary Philippines (2018). He shas served as consultant to government projects, including the peace talks with the CPP/NDP until 2018.
