Dr. Ador R. Torneo is a Professor in the Department of Political Science and Development Studies and the Director of the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance of De La Salle University. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Scopus journal, Asia-Pacific Social Science Review (APSSR). He is an experienced development and governance practitioner and a well-published scholar with extensive experience in community organizing, local governance, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and public policy research in the Philippines, the ASEAN region, and South Korea. He is the Secretary of the Galing Pook Foundation, Inc., the Academe Representative in the Philippines  Open Government Partnership (PH OGP), and a member of the Executive Committee of the Sustainable Solutions Development Network Philippines (SDSN PH). He is a Fellow in Social Weather Stations and Pulse Asia Research, Inc., a Research Fellow in the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), and a Senior Fellow in the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC). Dr. Torneo received his BS Community Development and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of the Philippines – Diliman and his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea.
