Ms. Anne Frances N. Sangil is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Literature at De La Salle University where she teaches popular culture, art appreciation, Philippine and World Literatures, and electives on J.K. Rowling and film and literature. She also serves as Chapter Organizer for the Philippines (Hogwarts Philippines chapter) for the Harry Potter Alliance (http://www.thehpalliance.org/) , a nonprofit organization run by Harry Potter fans worldwide. Ms. Sangil is also a storyteller, having had experiences in storytelling sessions and workshops with Scholastic, Inc., the Knowledge Channel, National Bookstore and the Department of Education (DepEd). Ms. Sangil is currently writing her dissertation on Filipino filmmaker Mike de Leon and auteur theory for a PhD in Literature.
