Johann Vladimir J. Espiritu of the Department of Literature teaches literature, art appreciation, and gender/sexuality studies. He earned his PhD in Literature from DLSU in 2017. His pedagogical and research interests include creative writing; feminist, gender, and queer studies; cultural studies; and popular culture, among others. He has published short stories and poems in Filipino; and has worked as the Assistant Editor for the Film Volume of the CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, and as the Managing Editor for IDEYA: Journal of the Humanities.
