Richie is an Associate Professor at the Literature Department of De La Salle University (Manila, the Philippines). She earned her M.A. in Educational Theatre from New York University (United States) under Ford Foundation’s International Fellowships Program and her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from DLSU through its Faculty Development Grant. She has conducted applied theater workshops with children-victims of physical abuse, out-of-school adults, and persons with disability. Her research interests include theatres for social justice, language and multimodality, and performance studies.
