Dr. Pangayao is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila andMaster of Engineering major in Environmental Engineering and Management and Doctor of Philosophy in ChemicalEngineering at De La Salle University. He was a visiting researcher at the Universite Paris – Est in Paris, France and TokyoInstitute of Technology in Tokyo, Japan. His field of specializations are Chemical and Hazardous Waste Management,Green Materials (Geopolimerization), Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology (Bioleaching).
Currently, Dr. Pangayao is a Supervising Science Research Specialist and Head of the Waste Management Section underthe Environment and Biotechnology Division of Industrial Technology Development Institute of the Department of Scienceand Technology (DOST-ITDI).
