Dr. Joseph R. Ortenero is an Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering at University of the Philippines Diliman. His research interests include energy conversion and storage technologies such as fuel cell, electrolyzer, and redox flow battery. He is also interested in other electrochemical engineering applications in various fields such as electrocoagulation and electro-Fenton processes for wastewater applications, corrosion and passivation, green hydrogen production among others. He is still building his research publications with 15 Scopus-indexed publications.
