Mr. Jaconiah Shelumiel T. Manalaysay, MA is an advocate of people-led parliamentarism and people-centered legislation. He is the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the National Society of Parliamentarians, a non-stock, not-for-profit association of parliamentarians and policy advocates in the Philippines. He is a graduate of the University of the Philippines-Diliman and the Ateneo de Manila University where he earned his degrees in Political Science and Masters in Global Politics, respectively. His career spans through the civil society, and government, having worked in the UP National Institutes of Health, the National Economic and Development Authority, the Philippines-California Advanced Research Institutes, and the House of Representatives. He is also an Assistant Professorial Lecturer in Political Science at the De La Salle University. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. in Sociology specializing in medical sociology in UP Diliman.
