Starting as a friendly wager between two friends, the Shell Eco-marathon has inspired thousands of students around the world to collaborate, bringing the best of their ideas together to build vehicles that would dominate the competition. Yet before any wheel touches the track, the team must undergo an almost year-long process of readying and optimizing their entries and ensuring that both the cars and themselves would be at their best  during the event.
