Call for Participation
The National Natural Language Processing Research Symposium (NNLPRS) is an annual gathering of researchers working on language and computing, with particular emphasis on the analysis and processing of the different Philippine languages. This year, the symposium aims to continue with its tradition of providing a venue for researchers to present their work, to share their knowledge and exchange ideas, and to collaborate on projects to further strengthen the area with the theme “Emerging Applications in Human Language Technology“. The symposium will consist of a whole day forum on the first day and a morning lecture on information extraction and its application to eGovernance and business intelligence on the second day.
There are two invited speakers for this event. Prof. Dekai Wu is a professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology who also serves on the Editorial Board of AI Journal, Machine Translation, and Journal of Natural Language Engineering and organizes the annual workshop on Syntax and Structure in Statistical Translation (as part of COLING and ACL international conferences).
