2017 Teambuilding and Planning Workshop Conducted

The director, staff and research assistants of the Social Development Research Center participated in a teambuilding activity and planning workshop from May 31 to June 2, 2017 in Lingayen, Pangasinan. The event provided the opportunity to finalize the program for the forthcoming 38th Anniversary program, during which the second issue of the infomagazine Talking Points will be launched, and a discussion on approaches to the current national concern of substance abuse will be conducted. The team also reviewed preparations for the release of the SDRC Operations Manual for Project Management and Fieldwork.

During the planning workshop, future community engagement with schools in need of research training (such as for proposal writing) was looked into, as well as ways of addressing problem areas in office procedures, acquisition of equipment needed, and forthcoming opportunities for capacity building among the staff.
The staff also participated in team building activities that involved mental and physical challenges as well as a respite from the office setting.
