Farida Kabayao is a lecturer of Art Appreciation and Philippine Literature at De La Salle University-Manila. As a violinist, she is a member of the Kabayao Family Quintet, having performed extensively in concerts in the Philippines, North America and Asia together with her father and siblings on the violin and mother on the piano. The family crusade of performing in lecture-recitals to promote classical music appreciation brought them to countless schools all over the Philippines. For her theater work, she has performed in community theater productions in Iloilo City that promote artist training and audience development as well as performing in professional theater with Repertory Philippines.  As an actor, she received her training at Repertory Philippines and Summer Conservatory Program of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York in 2008. As part of her community work in Iloilo City, Farida teaches acting to teens and adults and writes and directs gospel theater sketches and movement pieces that revolve around socially relevant themes.
