Dr. Ma. Janice J. Gumasing is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at De La Salle University. She earned her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Master of Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering from Mapua University. With over 20 years of experience, she is a Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE) and a professional consultant at Kaizen Management Syste
ms, Inc. She has numerous international research publications in Human Factors and Ergonomics. Her research interests include physical ergonomics, industrial ergonomics, macro-ergonomics, occupational safety and health, disaster risk reduction, and consumer behavior. In 2019, she was awarded Women in Industry and Academia by the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) Society, and in 2020, she received the Young Researcher award from the same society.
